Step right up and dunk the principal, pastor or coach!

A dunk tank is the one attraction where the crowd is the show. One person climbs onto the seat, somebody else picks up a ball, and everyone in earshot stops talking to watch the throw.

Who sits on the seat decides how big the line gets. The principal. The youth pastor. The coach who ran extra laps all season. The boss. The birthday kid's dad, who said this was a great idea right up until he sat down. Announce the name early and the line forms by itself.

A dunk booth is a classic fundraiser for exactly that reason. Charge per throw, rotate a fresh volunteer onto the seat every so often, and a school carnival or church festival has a money-maker that keeps going all afternoon.

The person on the dunk tank seat must be between 5 feet and 6 feet 6 inches tall and weigh no more than 250 pounds. And on a July afternoon in North Florida, they are the one usually hoping you hit the target.

Make room for the crowd

The dunk tank takes a 20 by 30 foot area. That's nearly three times the footprint of one of our 15 by 15 bounce houses, so it fits a school field, a church lawn or a park pavilion more easily than a small backyard. Plan for the throwing line and the people watching, too. They'll gather on every side.

Pair it with a water slide or a bounce house and the whole event comes from one company. Ask when you call and we'll tell you what fits on the same delivery.

What it needs at your venue

A 20 by 30 foot area on grass or concrete, and a garden hose or spigot within 50 feet to fill the tank.

We also recommend a volunteer to manage the throwing line and help each person on and off the seat.

Don't stress, we handle delivery, setup and takedown.

Frequent Questions

  • What is a dunk tank?

A dunk tank (also commonly called a dunk booth or dunking booth) is a water-filled tank with a seat above it and a target off to one side. One person sits on the seat while everyone else takes turns throwing balls at the target. Hit it, and the seat drops out from under whoever is sitting there, straight into the water. It’s a carnival classic, and one of the quickest ways to get a crowd cheering at a school fundraiser, church festival or company picnic.

  • How much does a dunk tank rental cost?

$450 per day. The dunk tank isn't staffed, so plan on a volunteer to run the throwing line and help each person on and off the seat.

  • How does a dunk tank work?

When the ball hits the target, the target trips a release, and the seat drops. That’s the whole trick. The person on the seat lands in the water, climbs out, the seat is set back up, and the next thrower steps to the line.

The tank fills from a garden hose, so your setup spot needs a hose or spigot within 50 feet.

  • Is a dunk tank good for a fundraiser?

Yes. It's one of the easiest fundraisers to run at a school carnival, church festival or company picnic. Sell throws, put a well-known volunteer on the seat, and let the line build. The bigger the name on the seat, the longer the line.

  • Who can take a turn on the dunk tank seat?

The person on the dunk tank seat must be between 5 feet and 6 feet 6 inches tall and weigh no more than 250 pounds.

  • What should the person on the seat wear?

A swimsuit, or clothes that can get soaked. Hand phones, glasses, watches and anything loose to someone on dry ground before climbing up.

  • How much space does a dunk tank need?

A 20 by 30 foot area on grass or concrete, plus room for the throwing line and the spectators. Tell us about your spot and we'll confirm it works before you book.
